Hi all

I'm running Precis v2 for the first time after successfully performed the control run. Now that I have the new RCP boundary conditions I'm not able to run any experiment
Attached is my leave file

Best regards
Luis

Hi Luis,

You have two choices

Choice 1 (I recommend):

Download the May 2016 release of PRECIS 2.0 and install it over the top of your current version

http://www.precisrcm.com/PRECIS/Precis_vn2.0.0.zip

After installing it, try your experiment again by typing

Code:
restart agzab NRUN

and see what's happening by typing
Code:
runtime agzab

Remember the model always stops at the end of the first model month.

Choice 2 (quick solution):

open the file file $UMDIR/vn4.5/ctldata/ancil_config/akwss

change two lines
source_sst=HadGEM2-ES_historical_sst_ to: source_sst=HadGEM2-ES_historical_sst
source_sice=HadGEM2-ES_historical_seaice_ to: source_sice=HadGEM2-ES_historical_seaice

Save the file and exit

(Do the same for akwsa, awksl, akwsx if you use future HadGEM2-ES)

Now try to run PRECIS again.

Dear David,

Thanks for your prompt response, I took the choice #2 for a quick view (and it is apparently working). Anyway I'm downloading the new v2 of Precis. How do I procced?, just install as the first time? or, do I have to delete some files?

Best
Luis

Hi Luis,
You can just install it over the top of the current PRECIS installation, although I would recommend stopping (cleanly) any run that's going, and then restarting it after the upgrade.
