Hi guys
I would like to ask... how to move PRECIS output files ?! I would like to from time to time move all generated data files to external drive to make space on the hard drive.
Is it some nice script/command/software for ubuntu which alows me to move all files to external to right folders ?

Hi Maciej,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

Are you asking how to copy the data to an external USB drive, or how to set up PRECIS to output data to a USB hard drive?

Thanks

David

Hi David

No... I'm asking... Is there any system/programme/script to transfer/manage PRECIS output. Something that will check for a new produced data in 132 folders in HOME directory and automatically move them to right 132 folders in external drive.
I don't want to move files manually or by 132-sh -mv commands.

but

set up PRECIS to output data to a USB hard drive is easier way :)

Hi Maciej,

A cron job would work. Cron lets you run things at regular intervals.

But yes, it will be much simpler if you just output straight to hard drive.

Have you downloaded the newest PRECIS 2.0?

The May 2016 release fixed a number of bugs. It can be installed over the top of existing 2.0.
