Hi,

I have received the hard drive & mount it to my computer. I referred to http://www.precisrcm.com/ANCIL_PRECIS2/ ... nfig/aexsa and copied only specified files stated in the link to /ancil/master I tried to test run "aexsa" but it only shows "Error failed to update ancillary files" and "Argument "0m4.10" isn't numeric in addition (+) at /home/..../utils/runtime_base line 1089"

1. What should I do?
2. In the link it states source_whs= landuse.rcp26.360 I can't find landuse.rcp26.360

(Edited)
3. I encountered "Error in updating LBC files" when I run "aenwh" What should I do?

Hi Khairul,
That error makes me think you should download the most up to date 2.0 (from last week).
http://www.precisrcm.com/PRECIS/Precis_vn2.0.0.zip

Install it over the top of what you have now.
Email precis@metoffice.gov.uk for the zip file password, if you need to.

Thanks
David

Hi David,

I have installed the up to date Precis 2.0. I have solved problem no 3. I'm now left with problem no 1(test for aexsa) but now it just shows me "Error failed to update ancillary files." I followed this link http://www.precisrcm.com/ANCIL_PRECIS2/ ... nfig/aexsa Can you tell me what is "landuse.rcp26.360"? because I can't find this file.

Hi Khairul,

It looks like you have uncovered an error in the ancil_config file for aexsa, I will fix it check them all ASAP.

Please can you confirm that the GCM you are wishing to downscale is
aexsa HadCM3Q3:SRES_A1B 1949 2099

All the best,
Simon

Hi Khairul,

I have replaced the ancil_config file. Please re download it, and place it in the directory $UMDIR/vn4.5/ctldata/ancil_config

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please let me know whether or not this fixes the problem.

All the best,
Simon

Hi Simon thanks for your reply,

I have replaced the config file for "aexsa HadCM3Q3:SRES_A1B 1949 2099" but seems like it doesn't fix the problem. I have tested/run other files from pp4lbc and it works well except for aexsa. I have checked every required ancil files stated in the config file and everything is there.

Hi Khairul,

Are you able to attach a .leave file?

To do this type:

cd $MY_OUTPUT
ls -rtl

Quote:
............
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 22836 Feb 16 14:30 dhgew000.dhgew.d16047.t142717.leave
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 25970 Feb 17 11:32 dhges000.dhges.d16048.t112627.leave
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 11499 Feb 18 12:06 dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave

and select the most recent one (in my case dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave). To attach it to the forum you will first need to gzip it, i.e. type

gzip dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave.

Once you have done this we will have a look.

All the best,
Simon
