Hi,

I'm new to Precis. I have installed Precis 2.0.

1) I tried to test run it and it says "EXPERIMENT COMPLETED" but the graphical output is not available? Does that mean it doesn't work? Why?

2) Is there a step by step file that I can download? Since I'm new to Precis.

Khairul

Dear Khairul,

Thank you for running PRECIS!

When you start a PRECIS experiment, you can click on the Monitor button to open a window to see what is happening.
In past versions of PRECIS, there were small snapshot plots that were displayed, but this "graphical output" is not in PRECIS 2.0 (hopefully we will re-enable it someday).

The important information is at the bottom. In your case, it says Experiment Completed. This means that you started a test experiment which was set to run 10 days only. Try to run another test experiment but set the run length in the TIME window to 1 year.

Note that PRECIS experiments always stop at the end of the first model month. This is called the NRUN phase. You can click Run PRECIS and then Restart and the model enters CRUN phase and will run until the experiment end date.

As you are new you should read through the technical manual to learn more.

Thank you
David
