Post subject:  error with rerun default experiment

Hi,
I loaded the PRECIS with the default experiment. But, after a month of round, the model stops. After that, I click on "Run PRECIS => Rerun from completed time" for the experiment to continue from where he left off, but appears the error message (attached). Could you please help to solve this problem?
Thanks

Hi Claudia,

Firstly, it is normal for PRECIS to stop after the first month. We call this month the 'NRUN', and the idea behind it is that you have a quick check that everything is as expected before beginning a long simulation. To continue the simulation after the first month, you can either type
Quote:
restart [runid]
on the command line, or equivalently by clicking on
Quote:
Run PRECIS --> Restart
in the PRECIS user interface.

The 'rerun from completed time' option is not what you want. Situations where this command is useful, are restarting PRECIS after a 'messy crash' (e.g. after a power cut), or to rerun part of a completed simulation again (perhaps to output some extra diagnostics in a month where PRECIS simulates an interesting weather system).

All the best,
Simon
