Hi Luis,

Please attach the log (.leave) file for this simulation.

To do this type:

cd $MY_OUTPUT
ls -rtl

Quote:
............
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 22836 Feb 16 14:30 dhgew000.dhgew.d16047.t142717.leave
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 25970 Feb 17 11:32 dhges000.dhges.d16048.t112627.leave
-rw-r--r-- 1 precis users 11499 Feb 18 12:06 dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave

and select the most recent one (in my case dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave). To attach it to the forum you will first need to gzip it, i.e. type

gzip dhgex000.dhgex.d16049.t120448.leave
.

Once you have done this we will have a look.

All the best,
Simon

Hi Luis,

The error message:
Quote:
mpd failed: gethostbyname_ex failed for linux-dp6p.site
hello -machinefile /home/precis/precis_expt/tmp/machines.047162156 -np 2 /home/precis/precis_expt/agzaa/agzaa.parexe
mpiexec failed: gethostbyname_ex failed for linux-dp6p.site

is related to the code PRECIS uses in order to run on multi processors.
To get around this, type hostname, to determine your host name. E.g.

Quote:
$ hostname
LuisComputer

, and then as root user you will need to edit the line

Quote:
127.0.0.1 localhost

in file /etc/hosts, so that it becomes

Quote:
127.0.0.1 localhost LuisComputer

All the best,
Simon
