Dear Girma,

Do you know why your model stopped after 1 month and four days? This is not a normal stopping point.

I have two ideas:
Given that you are so near the start of your simulation can you try simply restarting it as an NRUN and seeing if the problem repeats itself?
I wander if really the model has reached the end of February and crashed producing the seasonal mean - it is unable to make a DJF seasonal mean due to starting in January.

I suggest trying my first suggestion and if that doesn't work attaching the .leave files to this forum post so that we can investigate.

All the best,
Simon

Hi There,
After 1 month completed, I restarted then it stopped at the same time 1 month and 4 days. I restated again, I have got the same error message.
Please find the attached LEAVE and let me know what to do.

Kind regards

Girma

Hi Girma,

It looks like the model has reached the first of March and I am convinced that this is some calendar related bug/issue.

Can you look for the file abcaea.dah9310 in either the $DATADIR/abcae directory and/or the $ARCHIVEDIR/abcae/dumps directory?

This file contains the information required to restart the model from 1/3/1979.

All the best,
Simon

Hi Simon,

Thank you for the prompt response. I found the abcaea.dah9310 in dumps directory. What do I need to do with this file?

Thanks again,
Girma

Dear Girma,

Great, you should be able to restart your experiment from 1/3/1979 using the rerun command. See http://forum.precisrcm.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10.

All the best,
Simon

Hi There,

Based on the instruction you gave me, I did every thing and it seems working. after 3 years it stopped again as if it is finished running the experiment. I tried again and again with different starting time. it stops after it runs for a month and 27 days. finally it said FAILED IN MDEL. Here I pest the copy of the last respond of the run.
-----------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
REAL TIME : 21:45:01 CST Thursday 04/Dec/2014 | RATE :
MODELS : HadRM3P (MOSES2.2), ERA-Interim (erain) | TIME :
RUNID : abcae | DATE :
STATUS : ERROR: Failed in model | MWLE : 0%
------------------------------+-----------------------+-------------------------
start : 1988/10/ 1 0:00z | COMPLETED : 2 Months 30 Days 11 hours
CURRENT : 1988/12/31 11:55z | % : 5.011% of 5 Years
end : 1993/10/ 1 0:00z | TIMESTEPS : 52702/1051776 (150 secs/TS)
As you mentioned if it is calendar related bug or ales I need your help

Thanks

Girma

Girma,
Could you please email Simon Tucker directly with your Team Viewer details?
Please do not post them on this public forum.
Simon should be able to diagnose the problem by connecting directly.
Thank you,
David
