Hello Users, I started a simulation 95 years with PRECIS for the RCP 4.5 scenario, but to get 26 years, the model showed the message: ERROR: Failed in Model Can anybody help me, please? Claudia

Hi Claudia, This is the error in the *leave file Quote: itvae: Starting run hello -machinefile /home/precis2/precis_expt/tmp/machines.176153830 -np 6 /home/precis2/precis_expt/itvae/itvae.parexe mpiexec_ITVDS-WS030: cannot connect to local mpd (/tmp/mpd2.console_precis2); possible causes: 1. no mpd is running on this host 2. an mpd is running but was started without a "console" (-n option) In case 1, you can start an mpd on this host with: mpd & and you will be able to run jobs just on this host. For more details on starting mpds on a set of hosts, see the MPICH2 Installation Guide. 0m0.28s real 0m0.06s user 0m0.00s system qsmain: Time taken by model executable /home/precis2/um/vn4.5/exec/hadrm3p.MOSESII.exec.mpp: **MODEL_TIME: qsmain: LOADMODULE CC=255 I would try this: log on to your PRECIS system, open a terminal and type mpd & then try to restart your PRECIS experiment. I'd also suggest you check if your hard drive is full. type: df -h |

Simon W suggested this as a fix for your mpd related model failuure: Quote: Open a terminal, then on the command line:
cd $SPATH cp qsmain qsmain.backup then edit qsmain, and search for a line: mpdallexit and comment it out with a '#': #mpdallexit Save the file and exit Then restart your experiment with restart itvaf |
